NEW HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL VISITS CLUB
Jenny Berens is working in her first year as a school
administrator at Treynor Junior/Senior High.
Berens explained she grew up in a family of
eight in Wood River, NE.
After teaching at Tri-Center schools for eight years and in Colorado and Montana
schools during several years before that, Berens said
she is thrilled to have the opportunity to be at Treynor. Berens started in
the summer meeting staff and getting familiar with the facilities. Since the beginning of the school year, Berens said she has been working to learn the name of each
student. Berens
stated she feels it is very important to be visible to students and staff
during the school day. So she often
walks through the building and checks in on classes. However, this presence is challenged by to
need to address ever present administrative issues. Berens said she was
thankful for the great community support she has received which is indicative
of a community of families interested in education of their children.
