STANDING UP IS GOOD CITIZENSHIP

Glen Freeman is President of the Omaha Chapter of Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, which was organized in 1949 to honor patriotism and good citizenship. Today Freedoms Foundation sponsors various programs of education and recognition through activities of local chapters. Glen distributed copies of the U.S. Constitution published by the National Constitution Center, Philadelphia, PA. Glen urged us to refer to the Constitution when thinking about government issues of today. Glen suggested we have a crisis in our country caused by lack of adherence to our constitutional. Glen noted that our founding fathers expressed belief in God as stated in the Declaration of Independence. He also noted judges are appointed upon good behavior and can be recalled for unacceptable behavior. Glen emphasized our constitution provides for protecting citizens from adversaries but not for subsidizing citizens. Glen expressed the opinion that the election/political process is wrong as mostly politicians are being elected. It has been 51-yr since a citizen has been elected president who was not a politician. Glenn noted "We have a republic if we can keep it!" We need to understand citizen rights and stand up for the right actions.
